Graduation pictures end up in baby albums
A good graduation picture will go in a child's baby album or baby scrapbook, as well as on the computer or on the wall, it has been claimed.
New Hampshire newspaper the Keene Sentinel reported that many parents brought cameras along to Fall Mountain Regional High School's 2008 graduation to take Polaroids and digital photos of their offspring.
Luke T Franco, 17, told the newspaper that the reason he had four Polaroids of his family members on top of his cap was because they helped him get where he is today.
"Without them I wouldn't even be [graduating]," he said, adding: "Going into the real world, it's going to be different. I'm definitely ready for it. I've grown up a lot."
His mother Mary added that his graduation picture would not just be going in the photo albums.
"It's going to end up on a computer, in a scrapbook, his baby album," she said, explaining that when it was her son's turn she moved out of her seat to get the perfect shot.
The Australian recently highlighted a growing trend of people taking photographs and not getting them printed as digital replaces film.
