Jamie Lynn Spears has "sweet" baby shower

Jamie Lynn Spears, who is expecting her first child, celebrated with a baby shower in her hometown this weekend, surrounded by family and friends.

The event - which is sure to have included an array of baby keepsake gifts - was attended by around 30 women, including the 17-year-old's more famous big sister, Britney, who flew in especially for the occasion.

A source told People magazine that the gathering was "a normal shower ... a wonderful, sweet occasion".

Jamie Lynn, the star of Zoey 101 on Nickelodeon, announced that she was pregnant in December and is due to give birth next month.

Her registry for baby keepsake gifts includes items at Babies R Us, such as a teething ring, car seat, Cookie Monster bath towel and Baby Neptune Ocean Gym, according to People.

A baby album could also provide the perfect way for Jamie Lynn to record the special moments surrounding the birth of her child, which is rumored to be a girl.
