Organizing your wedding photo album
During your wedding preparations, most of your time may have been spent thinking about the dress, reception, ceremony and other pressing details.
But now that you have enjoyed your special day, it's time to focus on organizing your wedding photo albums so you can ensure the memories are always at your fingertips.
Whether you have enlisted the services of a wedding photographer or simply asked your friends to take as many pictures as possible, it can help to ask others to help with the process.
With digital photos, you can ask everyone to upload their shots to a single directory, making it easier for you to choose the ones you want to print. Descriptive labels can better help you sort through the submissions.
Photos on film that have already been developed can be organized into different categories, such as "reception," "vows," and "cake." Then spread each category out on the floor so you can narrow them down into the best shots. Don't forget to label the backs to describe who is in each photo.
Next, arrange the pictures in chronological order. You could begin with early wedding preparations, such as dress shopping or even photos of the two of you after you got engaged. Alternatively, start with pictures documenting the morning of your big day or the rehearsal dinner.
Many couples prefer to use a scrapbook or a type of wedding album that permits you to write notes underneath the pictures. If you use a photo guest book during your reception, friends and family can pen their own messages to you as the day unfolds.
