Throw a bridal shower brunch

Why not depart from the typical afternoon or early evening bridal shower and hold your get-together in the morning hours with a brunch?

Start your party planning by thinking about the menu, taking the guest of honor's preferences into account.

Would she go wild for an assortment of different breads, such as croissants, cinnamon buns, muffins and danishes?

Or perhaps a Continental breakfast would be more her style - think slices of smoked salmon, an assortment of cheeses, quiche and cut-up fresh fruit.

If you love cooking, why not plan on serving up a variety of made-to-order crepes or slices of thick-cut French toast, with an assortment of sweet toppings (strawberries, melted chocolate, powdered sugar, syrup).

The key is to provide a sufficient range of options without complicating the menu - after all, you don't want to be stuck in the kitchen while everyone else is enjoying themselves.

No bridal shower would be complete without a variety of yummy drinks to accompany the meal. Mimosas and bloody marys are popular options for the morning hours, while spritzers and fruit juices are good non-alcoholic alternatives.
