All over America people have resolved to join a gym, read more, learn to knit, or get a new job. So many resolutions! Sometimes the most basic life changes can bring so much happiness and yet are overlooked.

My New Year’s resolution is the same as it has been since I started the Company and this year I want to share it with you: I resolve to make a difference in people’s lives by inspiring them to appreciate “now”, live their lives in the present moment, and do what they know in their hearts to be right, with honesty, integrity and compassion, every day, every moment.

I hope your New Year is full of much happiness and that you too embrace and appreciate the peace and beauty of living life in the “now.” Once you do, everything else will fall into place. Really.

“Every moment is a golden one for him who has the vision to recognize it as such.” – Henry Miller

Erika Lenkert is the author of “The Last Minute Party Girl – Fashionable, Fearless, and Foolishly Simple Entertaining”. Erika has spent the last decade living life and sharing her lively perspective on entertaining, travel and lifestyle trends in publications such as In Style, Bon Appetit, Travel & Leisure, San Francisco and Los Angeles Magazines and Frommer’s. Yes, she knows a thing or two about throwing a successful party.

Erika was invited to an intimate Holiday dinner party for 30 at the home of a rather famous Napa Valley chef last month and decided to bring an Adesso Album with her as a gift. She acted as photographer, got everyone to sign by their picture, and then wrote a play-by-play of the evening, including the menu, funny quotes she overheard, and vignettes of people singing to – are you ready – a ukulele! She made the Adesso Album read like a book so that anyone who peruses it can enjoy the magic of the evening. According to Erika, the album was (almost) as big a hit as the food!

Says Erika, “I LOVE these albums! Whenever I attend special occasions I bring one, along with a Polaroid camera and film, and document the affair for the host. It’s an incredibly thoughtful and memorable gift.”

You heard it from the Party Girl herself!

Frankly Scarlet, I DO Give a Damn!

Southerners have always been known for their manners, hospitality and traditions and this month it’s been confirmed! Southern Bride Magazine, a bi-annual publication which is dedicated to the trends and traditions of the Southern Bride, has featured the Adesso Album in its “Gift Guide for the Avant-Garde Shopper” in the Winter/Spring 2005 issue. The Adesso Album is the perfect gift for any bride, above or below the Mason-Dixon line!

"Mo" Beta

That’s right! We found some more Beta albums – in addition to the few red that are left (19 at last count) you can now get these albums in black or natural for only $44.95 – that’s a 25% savings over the regular priced Polaroid albums! The Betas have lines on the pages and the retro logo on the inside back cover, but are otherwise identical to the current line – still archivally correct, still tons of fun. We just happen to like the new logo better, so we clear the inventory, you save money. That’s all good.
