Well, we survived Thanksgiving with only a few extra pounds and we hope your holiday was as special as ours was. Something’s Missing
Christmas will be missing something this year – my son Derek’s smile and his never aging enthusiasm for rousing his sister and two brothers to see what Santa brought at 6:00 a.m. on Christmas morning. Yes, still. At age 27!
Unfortunately, it looks like Derek’s new job is going to require him to stay in Arizona over the Christmas weekend. I guess this is part of watching your children grow up and become adults, but it sure is hard to imagine us without him and him without us during a time that has so much tradition and love associated with it.
Then I remembered a story that a customer sent in a couple of years ago about using an Adesso Album to bring the Holidays to a relative who couldn’t be with the family and it occurred to me we could do the same thing for Derek! He’ll feel connected through the pictures and greetings from friends and family, and putting the album together for him will keep him with us during all the festivities.
